Jolla has announced a significant change to the configuration of its latest device, the Jolla Phone (2026), in response to increasing industry pressures, particularly related to the surge in memory component prices.

Jolla has confirmed that starting from the latest production batch titled “Sep-II”, the base model of the Jolla Phone (2026) now comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
This configuration represents a reduction compared to the previous version, which offered larger storage. Nevertheless, the device’s price remains at 649 Euros, or approximately 700 US dollars.
The company cites the sharp rise in memory component prices as the main reason behind this decision. The situation is even described as an unprecedented challenge in the smartphone industry.
Upgrade Options Still Available
For users wanting higher specifications, Jolla still provides upgrade options. Consumers can add 100 Euros to obtain a configuration with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Thus, the price for the highest variant now reaches around 749 Euros, equivalent to 808 US dollars.
