Jokowi’s Side Considers Rismon as Witness in Diploma Case
The General Secretary of Peradi Bersatu, Ade Darmawan, has opened the possibility of presenting Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar as a witness in the alleged defamation case related to the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Roy Suryo and his associates have been reported to the police by Jokowi and several other parties. One of them is Peradi Bersatu, led by Ade Darmawan.
Rismon has revised the results of his research regarding the diploma in the book ‘Jokowi’s White Paper’ after submitting Restorative Justice (RJ) to the Metro Jaya Police. He has also acknowledged the authenticity of Jokowi’s diploma.
“The legal team still supports Bang Rismon obtaining RJ. That means he must reveal all the irregularities openly to the public,” said Ade after meeting Jokowi at his residence in Sumber, Solo, Central Java, on Thursday (16/4).
Ade stated that at least four parties have reported Roy Suryo and his associates to the police. He explained that the complainants have the right to propose witnesses to strengthen their reports.
“From these four complainants, we can propose Rismon as a witness. Either as an expert witness or as a witness to strengthen our reporting,” he said.
Nevertheless, Ade emphasised that the decision to present Rismon is not yet final.
“We are considering it,” he said.
