Jokowi's Political Safari Locations in Lampung
Joko Widodo will commence a political safari this weekend, from 26 to 28 June 2026. Volunteer groups supporting Jokowi have mapped out a number of visit points for the seventh former president. Lampung will be the first location visited by Jokowi. The former Mayor of Solo is scheduled to attend a regional coordination meeting of the Indonesian Solidarity Party in Tulang Bawang and Mesuji regencies on the first day. Jokowi will also attend the anniversary celebration of Kota Gajah in Central Lampung Regency. “This region was chosen because it is synonymous with the PSI symbol,” said Brigade Rakyat Nusantara Chairman Relly Reagen in Jakarta on Tuesday, 16 June 2026. Reagen is the volunteer coordinator for Jokowi’s visit to Lampung. Reagen stated that his team has arranged a special meeting between volunteer groups and Jokowi in Bandar Lampung. Additionally, Jokowi is scheduled to visit community business units in Pringsewu Regency. If there are no obstacles, Reagen said, the former Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle politician will visit the Transmigration Museum in Pesawaran. Jokowi will also visit several Islamic boarding schools, one of which is the Darussalamah Islamic Boarding School in East Lampung. From Lampung, Jokowi will depart for West Java and East Nusa Tenggara. However, the Jokowi political safari committee has not yet determined exact dates. The head of Rumah Juang Relawan Jokowi (RJ2), Utje Gustaaf Patty, said volunteers are still making rough plans and will review the evaluation from the Lampung visit. Jokowi’s blusukan to the regions also aims to campaign for PSI, which is led by his son Kaesang Pangarep. Jokowi expressed his determination to work tirelessly for PSI when speaking at a party event in Makassar, South Sulawesi, in January 2026. PSI has set a target of qualifying for the House of Representatives in the 2029 election. The party, which uses a rose symbol, failed to enter Senayan in the 2014 and 2019 elections. “Mr Jokowi is accepted by all circles,” claimed PSI spokesperson Bestari Barus on Thursday, 18 June 2026.
