Jokowi's Political Safari Begins Today, Lampung First Destination

The political safari of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), begins today, with Lampung as his first destination. Jokowi is scheduled to depart for Lampung today, marking the start of his tour around Indonesia this week. The former president disclosed the plan when asked by journalists about his trip to Lampung on Thursday (25/6), confirming he would leave this morning. “To Lampung tomorrow (today) morning, want to come along?” Jokowi said with a laugh when met at his residence in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo. Previously, Jokowi had hinted at his agenda to travel around Indonesia this week. He revealed this while greeting residents from Lampung who were queuing to take photos at his home. “Where are you from?” Jokowi asked while shaking hands with residents in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo. “Lampung,” the residents answered in unison.
