Jokowi Wants PSI to Become a Major Political Machine

Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), began his nationwide tour by flying to Lampung this morning. Jokowi stated that one of the missions of his visit agenda is to raise political awareness among the public. Jokowi also hopes to help the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) become a major political machine. Jokowi added that his presence at several PSI events in Lampung and other regions is as a motivator. “For PSI, I want to provide motivation and also convey important messages for the PSI structure to be completed immediately, so it becomes a major political machine,” he said. “Then also to raise political awareness among the public, that is also important,” he added. When met at Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo before his departure to Lampung, Jokowi said he would be accompanied by the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep. Jokowi said he would meet Kaesang in Lampung. He will also attend several PSI activities. “(Accompanied by Mas Kaesang?) Yes, I will meet him there later,” said Jokowi. Furthermore, Jokowi said there are already several agendas in Lampung with both volunteers and PSI. “The event rundown has been made, from volunteers, from PSI, everything. It’s already packed,” he said. Jokowi departed for Lampung wearing a white shirt with the PSI logo on the right chest and a cap with the PSI logo. Jokowi began his nationwide tour by visiting Lampung from 26 to 28 June 2026.
