President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is set to resume blusukan visits across Indonesia following his recovery. The seventh president is scheduled to visit Lampung Province in late June 2026 as his first destination.

Relly Reagen, Chairman of the Brigade Rakyat Nusantara (BRN) volunteer group, said after meeting Jokowi at his Sumber residence in Solo, Central Java, on Thursday (28/5) afternoon: “The planned visit to Lampung will last three to four days, followed by other provinces.”

During the Lampung visit, Jokowi will meet with local residents, volunteers, cultural and religious figures, and businesspeople. He is also scheduled to participate in a cultural carnival.

Relly noted that the visit’s schedule mirrors the cultural procession organised by the Solidarity Party (PSI) in Tegal last February. “Like in Tegal, there was a carnival. In Tegal it was one day; here it will be three to four days,” he said.

Bustami Zainudin, BRN’s mentor, claimed many Lampung residents want to meet Jokowi directly but find it difficult to travel to Solo. “They all requested the President visit Lampung, and we are facilitating this,” he said.

He added that several government programmes have benefited Lampung during Jokowi’s presidency, particularly the Trans-Sumatra Highway, which Lampung has greatly benefited from, as well as dams built for food security.
