Jokowi Speaks Out on Wearing PSI Attire

Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has given a pointed response regarding his choice to wear attire bearing the logo of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) during a working visit to Lampung. When questioned, Jokowi stated, “If someone is wearing that shirt, you already know what it means.” He explained that his agenda in Lampung was based on invitations received, which he tried to fulfil as much as possible, including events from PSI, the community, and volunteers. During his visit, Jokowi attended the PSI Regional Coordination Meeting in Mesuji, Tulang Bawang, and Bandar Lampung, met with UMKM actors in Pringsewu, and participated in a traditional title-granting ceremony at Kedaton Agung Lampung. He also scheduled a visit to a pondok pesantren, noting that his itinerary covered community, political, religious, and cultural aspects. Jokowi gathered all PSI officials from across Lampung for dialogue and to provide direction ahead of party consolidation for the 2029 elections.
