Jokowi Ready to Attend Trial, Present Diplomas from Elementary to University if Summoned

Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has stated that he is prepared to attend court proceedings and present his original diplomas if summoned as a witness. He made the remarks in response to legal cases involving suspects Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa. “We must respect the ongoing legal process and its mechanisms. If I am invited by the honourable panel of judges to attend the trial, I will be present,” Jokowi told journalists at his residence in Sumber, Banjarsari District, Solo City, Central Java, on Tuesday (7/7/2026). The former mayor of Solo emphasised his commitment to proving the authenticity of his educational certificates. “And as I have previously stated, I will bring and show my diplomas from elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, and my undergraduate degree,” he said. When asked if this readiness applied to both cases involving Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa, Jokowi replied succinctly, “It should be that way.”
