Jokowi Performs Eid Prayer with Iriana and Kaesang at GBK

The atmosphere on Eid al-Fitr morning in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Jakarta, felt different. Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was seen at Al-Bina Jami’ Mosque to perform the Eid Prayer for 1447 Hijriah on Saturday, 21 March 2026. Jokowi arrived around 06:10 WIB in a BMW i7. He was dressed in a light brown koko shirt, yellow sarong, and black peci. Without lingering, Jokowi proceeded directly into the mosque through the back entrance. Tight escort from the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) accompanied his steps. Iriana Jokowi joined him for the worship moment. Additionally, Jokowi’s youngest son, who is also the General Chairman of PSI, Kaesang Pangarep, was seen at the same location to perform the Eid Prayer. Al-Bina Jami’ Mosque itself was scheduled to hold the Eid al-Fitr prayer starting at 06:30 WIB, so Jokowi’s arrival was earlier than the scheduled time. Previously, the location of Jokowi’s prayer had been confirmed by his aide, Police Commissioner Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah. On the other hand, the President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is known to have a different agenda for this year’s Lebaran moment. He is scheduled to perform the Eid Prayer in Aceh. Meanwhile, for Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, he is scheduled to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta.
