Jokowi Joins Viral Song Trend 'Mas Bahlil Ganteng-Little Bolu Ketan'

Indonesia’s seventh president, Joko Widodo, has joined the viral song trend ‘Mas Bahlil Ganteng’, which has been widely circulating on social media. In a social media post, Jokowi shared footage of young people dancing to the song outside his home on Gang Kutai Utara in Solo. He admitted initially mistaking the commotion for something unusual but later realised it was youths energetically dancing to the viral tune. “It turns out the song by Mr Bahlil has reached my doorstep,” he wrote on Instagram. Jokowi views the phenomenon as a form of youth creativity, stating digital trends provide a platform for young people to showcase their enthusiasm and creativity. “I have seen young people express their joy in unique ways. Their enthusiasm and creativity are certainly worthy of appreciation,” he added. Previously, Bahlil expressed curiosity about the song’s creator, even asking Raffi Ahmad to help identify who made the now-viral track.
