Jokowi Hears Residents' Gripes About Damaged Roads During Lampung SME Visit

Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) drew attention as he continued his series of visits in Lampung. Amidst a crowd of residents thronging the UMKM Centre in Kota Gajah District, Central Lampung, Jokowi was seen buying various local snacks, from iced coffee with milk and fruit rujak to banana chips. He also treated several children at the location to snacks. The moment occurred when Jokowi began his final blusukan agenda in Lampung Province on Sunday, 28 June 2026. His arrival was enthusiastically welcomed by thousands of residents who were shopping at the Kota Gajah District field. Many residents jostled to get close to shake hands or capture the moment with a selfie with Jokowi. While touring the UMKM area, Jokowi visited several traders and bought various products on sale. He appeared to enjoy the atmosphere while interacting with the community and small business owners. The visit was part of Jokowi’s support for UMKM players. During the activity, residents also took the opportunity to convey their aspirations regarding road repairs in their area. The day before, Saturday, 27 June 2026, Jokowi also visited the Maliosewu UMKM Centre in Bulukarto Village, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency. At that location, hundreds of culinary stalls lined the Maliosewu area. Jokowi’s presence was again enthusiastically welcomed by residents who crowded the location to shake hands and take photos. At that time, Jokowi also bought simple snacks, namely sweet iced tea and grilled sausages from local UMKM traders. During his visit to Pringsewu, Jokowi was accompanied by PSI DPP Daily Chairman Ahmad Ali, PSI Lampung DPW Chairman Achmad Ridho Julian, members of the PSI DPP management, and Pringsewu Regent Riyanto Pamungkas. After greeting UMKM players in Pringsewu, Jokowi continued his agenda by visiting the Lampung Transmigration Museum in Pesawaran Regency. Upon arrival at the location, the former Indonesian President was again enthusiastically welcomed by the public before entering the museum area with his entourage.
