Jokowi Diploma Case Proceeds, Files of Roy Suryo and Associates Forwarded

Metro Jaya Police have confirmed that the case of allegations of a fake diploma belonging to the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), will continue for five suspects. The five suspects are Roy Suryo, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Rustam Effendi, Muhammad Rizal Fadillah, and Tifauziah Tyassuma alias dr Tifa. “The investigation process against the other suspects will continue until the trial stage in court,” stated the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Iman Imanuddin, during a press conference on Friday (17/4). Iman said that for the other three suspects, namely Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, Eggi Sudjana, and Damai Hari Lubis, termination of investigation orders (SP3) have been issued. The case files of the five suspects have also been sent to the High Prosecutor’s Office for examination by investigating prosecutors. “The case files have been sent to the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office for further processing,” he said. Iman explained that the issuance of SP3 was first carried out for suspects Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis on 15 January 2026. Meanwhile, the SP3 for Rismon was only issued on Tuesday (14/4) last. “Thus, the investigations against ES, DHL, and RHS have been terminated through the restorative justice mechanism,” said Iman. Previously, Metro Jaya Police designated eight suspects divided into two clusters related to the Jokowi fake diploma allegation case. The first cluster consists of five suspects, namely Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. They are charged under Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 160 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 27a in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45a paragraph 2 of the ITE Law. Then, the second cluster consists of three suspects, namely Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Tifauziah Tyassuma alias dr Tifa. The three are charged under Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 32 Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 48 Paragraph 1 and/or Article 35 in conjunction with Article 51 Paragraph 1 and/or Article 27a in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45a paragraph 2 of the ITE Law.
