Jokowi Begins Three-Day Blusukan in Lampung with Friday Prayers
Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo began his series of visits in Lampung Province by performing Friday prayers before embarking on a three-day political agenda and blusukan across several regions. Jokowi arrived at Raden Inten II Airport, Lampung, at approximately 10:56 WIB on Friday, 26 June 2026. Wearing a white shirt and a white cap bearing the logo of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), he was welcomed by PSI Lampung officials and cadres alongside volunteers from Brigade Rakyat and Projo Lampung. After arriving, Jokowi first headed to the Al Hikmah Mosque at the KM 116 Rest Area of the Lampung Toll Road to perform Friday prayers. On that occasion, he appeared to be accompanied by the Chairman of PSI Lampung’s Regional Executive Board, Ahmad Ridho Julian. After prayers, Jokowi revealed that he had prepared a number of agendas during his stay in Lampung. ‘The event rundown has been prepared, both from volunteers and from PSI, everything is packed,’ he said on Friday, 26 June 2026. While in Lampung, Jokowi is scheduled to participate in various activities, ranging from PSI political consolidation, meeting with the community, attending a cultural parade, to visiting an Islamic boarding school. Jokowi said one of his main agendas is to provide motivation to PSI cadres, a party now led by his youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep. According to him, strengthening the party’s structure is crucial ahead of the 2029 General Election. ‘For PSI, I want to provide motivation, and also convey important messages about the urgency of completing PSI’s structure immediately, so it becomes a large political machine,’ he said. During the visit, Jokowi is scheduled to be accompanied by PSI’s General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep along with other PSI central board members. Several areas to be visited over the three days include Mesuji Regency, West Tulang Bawang, Pesawaran, Bandar Lampung City, East Lampung, and Central Lampung.
