Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla Attend 80th Bhayangkara Police Anniversary

Former President Joko Widodo attended the 80th Indonesian Police (Polri) anniversary parade at the Mobile Brigade Corps training facility in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla was also present.

President Prabowo Subianto served as the inspecting officer for the ceremony. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, he arrived at the venue around 7:55 AM WIB, followed by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit and Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto.

Other officials in attendance included Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman, and Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, and Corrections Otto Hasibuan. Also present were National Economic Council Chair Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, House Speaker Puan Maharani, Regional Representative Council Speaker Sultan Bahtiar Najamuddin, and Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono.

This year’s Bhayangkara Day carried the theme ‘80 Years of Polri’s Service to the Community’. The morning’s events included a parade, the conferment of honours, demonstrations, a march-past, and a thanksgiving ceremony. The choice of the Cikeas training facility as the central venue marked a departure from previous years. Police Public Relations Division Head Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir explained the location was chosen for its symbolic connection to the formation of police values and character, representing an open display of the training processes that underpin the quality of police human resources and public service.
