A joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team is searching for a boy named Muhammad Fajri Setiawan who was swept away by currents in the Batang Tembesi River, Pauh Village, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi. The victim was reported missing on Thursday evening whilst bathing with several friends at the riverbank.

According to the Head of the Jambi SAR Office, Adah Sudarsa, the effective search operation was launched on Friday after the report was received by personnel from the Bungo SAR Post. The SAR operation has been divided into several Search and Rescue Units (SRU), with teams using two rubber boats to comb the murky waters along both sides of the Batang Tembesi river basin. As of the release of this information, the victim had still not been found.
