In order to maintain public security and order as well as the comfort of residents during the holy month of Ramadan 2026, joint personnel are conducting patrols across vulnerable areas in Cakung sub-district, East Jakarta.

“In order to maintain public security and order as well as the comfort of residents during the holy month of Ramadan 2026, we are conducting patrols in vulnerable areas,” said Cakung Sub-district Head Rohmad in Jakarta on Monday.

He also reminded all personnel to prioritise safety and maintain their health while on duty.

“The vulnerable areas, particularly during high-risk hours, are prone to criminal acts and illegal street racing,” Rohmad said.

In addition, the reinforcement of anti-brawl command posts at several points across the Cakung sub-district has become a key security focus aimed at preventing potential disturbances to public order.

Through this cross-agency synergy, Cakung sub-district hopes that the observance of Ramadan can proceed peacefully and that residents can go about their activities without security disruptions.

“Let us demonstrate that this Cipkon Operation is a manifestation of collaboration between the government, security forces, and the community in maintaining a conducive environment during the holy month of Ramadan,” Rohmad concluded.

Previously, the Head of the East Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Muhammadong stated that 256 Satpol PP personnel in East Jakarta are on standby to maintain order during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H/2026.

“A total of 256 Satpol PP personnel are ready to strengthen security and remain on standby to ensure order during Ramadan,” Muhammadong said on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

Operasi Pekat Jaya 2026 is part of a centralised directive from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, implemented simultaneously across the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, including East Jakarta.

The command posts involve various elements, ranging from the police, the East Jakarta City Government, the Indonesian military and police, Military District Command 0505, to community members.

Twenty personnel are stationed at each post. Of that number, 10 are from the police, drawn from both the East Jakarta Metropolitan Police and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

The remaining 10 personnel comprise members of the Satpol PP, Military District Command 0505 East Jakarta, and community members near the post locations.

The integrated command posts operate based on an analysis of threat levels. Posts are active from 4pm until 8am the following morning, a period assessed as being vulnerable to security disturbances.
