Joint Patrols Anticipate Dry Season Disaster Risks in Subang

To anticipate potential land fires and other disasters during the dry season, Pagaden Police, together with several related agencies, conducted a joint disaster response patrol in Gembor Village, Pagaden District, Subang Regency, on Thursday (6/8).

The patrol was carried out as an early detection measure while also increasing preparedness for potential disasters, particularly land fires and falling trees.

Pagaden Police Chief AKP Ikin Sodikin said the activity was a form of cross-sectoral synergy in disaster mitigation and prevention efforts.

“In addition to mapping areas prone to land fires and falling trees, officers in the field also interacted directly with residents to provide public order and security appeals,” said AKP Ikin Sodikin.

Officers also reminded the public not to burn rubbish carelessly. Uncontrolled fires can spread quickly and trigger land or residential fires.

In addition to conducting patrols, Pagaden Police also emphasised the importance of rapid personnel response in receiving every report from the community.

He asked all members to provide the best service and not ignore residents’ reports regarding potential or actual disaster events.

“I instruct that no personnel may refuse a report from the community. We must provide excellent service and maximum protection for residents,” he stressed.

Through this joint patrol, the police hope that synergy between officers, disaster management agencies, and the community can continue to be strengthened.

The measure is expected to increase vigilance and accelerate handling in the event of land fires or other disasters, so that the security and public order situation in the Pagaden Police jurisdiction remains safe and conducive.
