Jogja Weather Today: Kaliurang Set for Heavy Rain

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of DI Yogyakarta issued today the weather forecast for the DIY region. Rainfall intensity is expected to increase in the highland areas. Conversely, along the coast there is no potential for rain. Yogyakarta City: Light rain is forecast to spread evenly across the entire City of Jogja from the afternoon, including the Malioboro area. Sleman Regency: Rain of light to moderate intensity is also predicted to drench the entire Sleman area from the afternoon. This includes the Prambanan temple complex and its surroundings. Kaliurang area and extending to the slopes of Mount Merapi, namely Kapanewon Pakem, Kapanewon Turi, and Kapanewon Cangkringan, are forecast to receive heavy rain at the same time. Bantul: Light rain is expected to drench the entire Bantul area from the afternoon, except coastal tourism areas across Bantul such as Pantai Parangtritis where rain is not forecast today. Kulon Progo: Some parts have no rainfall today, such as coastal areas up to YIA. Weather is expected to be bright to cloudy throughout the day. However, in the Menoreh Hills such as Samigaluh and Girimulyo, light rain is possible from midday to night. Gunungkidul: Light rainfall may drench most of Gunungkidul from the afternoon, except coastal tourism areas such as Pantai Indrayanti where rain is not forecast today.
