Jogja-Solo Commuter Line Held Up for an Hour at Prambanan Station, KCI Explains

The Jogja-Palur Electric Rail Train (KRL) was halted for an hour at Brambanan Station on Wednesday afternoon. PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) has issued an explanation regarding the incident. Information about the delay was shared on social media, showing crowded conditions as passengers waited on the stationary train. The train had departed from Maguwo Station at 11:08 a.m. but was held for over an hour at Prambanan Station. Manager of Public Relations for KAI Commuter, Leza Arlan, apologised for the delay to Commuter Line No. 704 on the Yogyakarta-Palur route. He explained that in accordance with security protocols and travel arrangements for a VVIP entourage, the railway operator for Region 6 Yogyakarta implemented traffic engineering and adjusted the journeys of all trains in the area. The Commuter Line No. 704, scheduled to depart from Yogyakarta Station at 10:56 a.m. WIB, was one of the services affected. As a result of the arrangement, the train was delayed by approximately 34 minutes upon entering Brambanan Station and by 45 minutes before it could resume its journey. Leza confirmed that all train journeys have since returned to normal. KAI Commuter apologised for the inconvenience and delay, and urged passengers to always follow the instructions of station officers and prioritise safety when using the commuter line.
