Jogja MP Gandung Pardiman Dies Aged 73

News of the death of House of Representatives member Gandung Pardiman has emerged. The former chair of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Golkar Party chapter died aged 73.

The news was confirmed by Singgih Januratmoko, chair of the DIY Golkar chapter. He said Pardiman had died from an illness he had been suffering from, although no details about the illness were available.

“That’s right, he has died; he had been ill for a long time,” Singgih told detikJogja in a text message on Tuesday (27 October 2026).

Meanwhile, Munazar, secretary of the Golkar Party’s Yogyakarta City chapter, said Pardiman had died that morning.

“I received the information at around 9.40 this morning [that he had died],” he said.

According to information received by detikJogja, Gandung Pardiman died on Tuesday (27 October 2026) at Panti Rapih Hospital in Yogyakarta. His body was taken to the family home in Dukuh Kerjo 2, Genjahan Village, Ponjong district, Gunungkidul Regency.
