The Jogja Food & Beverage Expo 2026 was officially opened to the public on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, at Jogja Expo Center (JEC). As one of the largest food and beverage exhibitions in Central Java, this event organised by Krista Exhibitions Group is being held for the second time.

This year, the Jogja Food & Beverage Expo 2026 is taking place alongside three other industry exhibitions: Jogja Pack & Process Expo, Jogja All Tea Expo, and Jogja Printing Expo 2026. This collaboration enriches the diversity of innovations and opens broader business opportunities for visitors.

The four exhibitions are running from 8-11 April 2026, presenting cross-sector synergies that complement each other—from the food and beverage industry, processing and packaging technology, the tea industry, to printing. Together, they form an integrated ecosystem that supports industry players in strengthening networks, expanding markets, and accelerating innovation.

CEO of Krista Exhibitions Group, Daud D. Salim, stated that the organisation of the Jogja Food & Beverage Expo 2026 is a strategic step to drive the growth of the food and beverage industry in Yogyakarta.

“This year, the exhibition features more than 110 participants, including 30 curated SMEs, with a target of 15,000 visitors. The participants are showcasing products ranging from Nusantara cuisine, innovative beverages, premium tea, packaging technology, to food processing machinery. We hope this exhibition becomes a showcase for the richness of national cuisine as well as a space for business actors to innovate, adapt, and strengthen collaboration amid the increasingly dynamic industry developments,” said Daud in a written statement on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

A series of flagship programmes this year has been prepared to strengthen the food and beverage industry ecosystem through various educational and professional demonstration activities. On the main stage, the Cooking & Baking Demo features renowned chefs and brands, including the highly anticipated session with Chef Achen from Rose Brand. This programme also encourages creativity among the younger generation and culinary communities.

The Bakat Boga Challenge 2026 is also returning, involving chefs, food enthusiasts, and young talents from across Indonesia to celebrate and highlight the richness of Nusantara cuisine.

In collaboration with ACP Indonesia, this competition presents seven categories of Indonesian culinary heritage: Traditional Jajanan Pasar, Modern Jajanan Pasar, Dress the Cake, Chiffon Cake, Nasi Tumpeng, Nasi Goreng, and Mie Godhog Jawa.

Through this event, participants are encouraged to showcase their best creativity while preserving the flavours and authenticity of Indonesian cuisine to gain greater recognition and appreciation, both nationally and internationally.

In addition, the Business Matching programme is prepared as a strategic platform for food and beverage industry players to build networks, explore collaborations, and open business opportunities with exhibitors and potential buyers.

This combination of education, competitions, and business collaborations is expected to provide significant added value for all stakeholders.

In the coffee sector, the ICAB ROC Competition and Jogja ROC Competition are being held again as roasting competition events to strengthen the coffee industry ecosystem in Yogyakarta. These two competitions serve as platforms for roasters to demonstrate their expertise in processing coffee beans through precise and characterful roasting techniques.

By involving communities, coffee brands, and industry players, these events not only present professional competition but also open spaces for education and collaboration to drive improvements in quality and the development of new talents in the national coffee industry.

Meanwhile, the tea sector is bolstered through educational programmes from the Indonesian Tea Council, which is returning with Tea Talks and Tea Class. These programmes are aimed at enhancing the knowledge of tea business actors, culinary enthusiasts, tea lovers, and the younger generation who wish to develop competencies and enter the tea industry.

This year, there are two main classes: “The Science Behind Tea Flavouring,” which discusses the basics of tea flavour science with a Certified Professional, and “Natural & Sugar Free Milk Tea,” a practical class on mixing milk tea from pure milk without added sugar. Both sessions underscore the Indonesian Tea Council’s commitment to fostering competencies and creativity in the national tea community.

The success of the Jogja Food & Beverage Expo 2026 is inseparable from the support of various parties, including the Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial Government, Yogyakarta City Government, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Trade, KADIN Indonesia, and KADIN Yogyakarta Special Region. Support also comes from the Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association (GAPMMI), Indonesian Tea Council (DTI), and Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP).

In addition, various associations and organisations have contributed, such as the Indonesian Pastry Bakery Society (IPBS), Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (APRINDO), Indonesian Catering Entrepreneurs Association (APJI), Indonesian Frozen Food Entrepreneurs Association (APFFI), Indonesian Culinary Experts Association (IKABOGA), Indonesian Catering Organisers Association (PPJI), Jogja Chinese Art & Culture Center (JCACC), Indonesian Chinese Clan Social Association (PSMTI), and various other institutions.
