The Jogja Financial Festival will be held in Yogyakarta from 22 to 24 May. The event offers a financial exhibition, UGM Run D-City, and a Celebrity Match on the UGM campus.

CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung stated that this year’s Jogja Financial Festival adopts a more collaborative and attractive concept, combining various elements from entertainment and public interactions to involvement from numerous institutions.

“We have packaged this event to attract as many people as possible. So it’s not just serious, but also includes entertainment that makes visitors stay longer,” said Chairul at the Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas (GIK) UGM in Sleman on Friday (3/4/2026).

Chairul explained that the series of events is filled with various entertainments such as music concerts, stand-up comedy, and the presence of public figures, which are deemed capable of boosting public enthusiasm. Visitors do not just come as spectators but can also participate directly in the prepared activities.

Chairul assessed that this concept can create a lively and interactive atmosphere, so the event does not feel monotonous and can be enjoyed by various groups.

“If packaged attractively, people will come and stay longer. That’s what we hope for from this festival,” he said.

The entire Jogja Financial Festival series can also be accessed for free by the public, with a registration system to ensure comfort and smoothness of the event. The participant quota is limited to anticipate a surge in visitors.

“And everything in this Financial Festival is 100 percent free because it’s all funded by LPS along with the sponsors. We limit it to only 10,000,” he said.

Meanwhile, in the Run D-City event, the funds collected from the activity will be channelled to UGM to help students in need of scholarship assistance.

“And 100 percent of the funds from the Run D-City collection will be donated to UGM as funds to help our younger siblings at UGM who need scholarships,” he added.

Chairul hopes that the synergy between organisers, industry players, and the community can make the Jogja Financial Festival a successful event with broad impact.

“With togetherness and support from all parties, we are optimistic that this event can run successfully and provide benefits,” he concluded.
