Jogja Financial Festival 2026 Boosts Insurance Literacy and Inclusion
As part of its commitment to enhancing public financial literacy and inclusion sustainably, PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has joined the Jogja Financial Festival 2026. Through the event, Askrindo provided interactive, relevant, and easily understandable insurance education, particularly for young people and the general public.
Based on the 2025 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK), the insurance literacy index rose to 45.45% and the insurance inclusion index reached 28.50%. These figures indicate growing public awareness of the importance of insurance protection, presenting opportunities for the industry to further expand education and access to protection services.
Working with IFG Group, Askrindo set up various literacy activities and a financial protection-themed activation booth, designed attractively and interactively. Through educational games and engagement activities, visitors were encouraged to understand the importance of preparing for everyday financial risks.
The event also served as a platform to introduce Askrindo’s affordable risk protection products, including Personal Accident Insurance, Micro Business Insurance (Usahaku), and Micro Home Insurance (Rumahku), designed to provide simple protection tailored to public needs.
Askrindo’s Managing Director, M Fankar Umran, stated that improving insurance literacy and inclusion is crucial for building public financial resilience.
“Askrindo aims to continuously enhance public understanding of the importance of protection and financial risk management. Insurance education must be delivered through approaches that are closer, simpler, and more relevant to be easily accepted by all segments of society, especially the youth,” Fankar said.
He added that microinsurance plays a strategic role in expanding access to financial protection by offering practical and affordable coverage.
“Microinsurance products address the public’s need for protection against various risks that can occur at any time, from personal accidents to micro-business risks and home protection. We hope the public increasingly recognises protection as a vital part of early financial planning,” he added.
Alongside the activation booth, Askrindo also participated in financial awareness activities through business talkshows discussing the importance of financial preparedness, risk management, and raising protection awareness amid current societal dynamics. Through participation in the Jogja Financial Festival 2026, Askrindo aims to further raise public awareness of insurance’s importance and support national financial inclusion efforts.
Fankar also stressed that adaptive education and communication are key to building closer ties between the insurance industry and the public.
“Young people play a significant role in creating a society more aware of risks and financially prepared. Therefore, Askrindo seeks to be not just an insurance company, but also an educational partner capable of providing easily understood protection knowledge closely aligned with daily life,” he concluded.
