Job Fair Offers 6,700 Vacancies to Enliven National MTQ in Central Java

SEMARANG — The Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of Central Java Province will hold a job fair at the Gajahmada Plaza car park in Semarang City on 17-18 September 2026.

The job fair is being held to enliven the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ), which is taking place in Semarang City.

“We will hold a job fair on 17-18 September 2026 at the Gajahmada Plaza car park in Semarang City. This job fair is also part of celebrating the National MTQ,” said the head of Central Java’s Disnakertrans, Ahmad Aziz, in an interview on Tuesday (15/9/2026).

The job fair venue is located directly across from the main stage of the National MTQ, which has been erected at Pancasila Field, Simpang Lima, Semarang.

According to Aziz, 40 companies will participate in the Disnakertrans Central Java job fair.

“Currently, 40 companies have registered with various kinds of vacancies. There are 6,736 vacancies in total,” said Aziz.

He added that the companies participating in the job fair operate in manufacturing, services, medical care, outsourcing and other fields. There are also companies offering overseas placements.

“Among those 40 companies, there is a booth from KEK Kendal, which will also facilitate several companies in the Kendal Industrial Park or the Kendal Special Economic Zone,” said Aziz.

He expressed hope that the job fair organised by Disnakertrans Central Java can facilitate the needs of jobseekers as well as companies searching for candidates.
