Job Fair Held in Bogor on 8-9 June 2026 to Offer 2,000 Job Vacancies

Bogor, Kompas.com – The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) will hold a Job Fair at Mall Jambu Dua from Monday, 8 June 2026 to Tuesday, 9 June 2026. The Secretary of the Bogor City Labour Office (Disnaker), Sahib Khan, said the event would take place at Mall Jambu Dua. ‘The dates have been set, 8 and 9 June at Mall Jambu Dua,’ he told Kompas.com on Friday, 22 May 2026. However, Sahib cautioned participating companies to provide real vacancies with slots, rather than mere participation. ‘We want companies that actually have job openings; don’t just join to boost attendance,’ he said. He noted they are trying to attract companies from within the city as well as from outside to provide vacancies. He added that the Job Fair would involve Employment Training Institutions (LPKs) to place workers overseas. ‘There will also be sectors such as banking, manufacturing, finance, hospitality, and typically several LPKs that offer overseas opportunities. They often attend,’ he added. Sahib continued that the target number of job seekers over the two days is about 5,000. Of those 5,000 job seekers, around 500 are expected to be absorbed into the vacancies provided. ‘So we are measuring not by participant numbers but by the number of vacancies. If there are 2,000 vacancies and we can place 500 people, that means about 25 per cent of those unemployed might obtain work,’ he explained. He explained that job seekers from the city and from outside can attend the Job Fair in the Bogor city area. Registration can be tracked via the official Instagram account of the Bogor City Disnaker. ‘Even though this is funded by the Bogor City APBD, we will accept registrations as long as the target quota of 5,000 people is met. When ready, we will announce online on Instagram with a barcode,’ said Sahib.
