Job Fair Held During Gianyar's 255th Anniversary, Applicants Interviewed Directly
The Gianyar Regency Government (Pemkab) has held a job fair or employment exchange at the Gianyar Town Square. The event took place from 12 April 2026 to 19 April 2026.
“As in previous years, this year’s Gianyar anniversary series also includes a job fair,” said the Head of the Manpower Agency (Disnaker) of Gianyar, Gede Suardana, to detikBali on Monday (13/4/2026).
Suardana stated that 23 companies are opening job vacancies and accepting direct applicants at their stands. These dozens of companies operate in various fields, from microfinance and small, medium, and micro enterprise (UMKM) empowerment to cooperatives, such as PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), as well as banking companies like PT BPR Bank Daerah Gianyar.
“We invited companies that need new employees or staff. We announced it to the public so they can apply directly to those companies providing job openings,” said Suardana.
Suardana explained that the job fair is not only held as part of the 255th Gianyar City Anniversary series but also as an effort by Pemkab Gianyar to reduce the number of unemployed residents.
In addition to the job fair, many Gianyar residents are trained and employed abroad. This is also a strategy by Pemkab Gianyar to suppress unemployment rates.
“Our strategy is to send workers abroad. We provide the best services for migrant workers so they can depart abroad quickly,” Suardana clarified.
Human Resource Development at PNM’s Denpasar Branch, Yoga Wiguna, said the company needs 30 employees. Job opportunities at PNM for prospective applicants are available in marketing or sales positions.
“PNM is only opening vacancies for one position, namely marketing,” said Yogi.
Yogi stated that applicants can visit the PNM stand at Gianyar Town Square and submit their job application files. Applicants will undergo a short interview as the initial recruitment stage.
“If they pass, we will invite them to the next selection stage,” he said.
According to Yogi, the job fair is a great opportunity. Applicants can ask anything about the company’s background and the facilities received once officially recruited as PNM employees.
“Applying online via our company website is also possible. But applying here allows applicants to inquire about the company profile and benefits received, including job descriptions of tasks and responsibilities, which can be asked on site,” Yogi explained.
The job vacancies at PT BPR Bank Daerah Gianyar differ. The regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) does not have a specific number of employee needs, so the number of applicants wishing to work is not limited.
“We do not have limits or quotas for applicants,” said IT Staff at PT BPR Bank Daerah Gianyar, Gus Bram.
Gus Bram said that applicants who pass the selection stages and are officially accepted to work at PT BPR Bank Daerah Gianyar will be placed at the head office in Gianyar, branches, and nine sub-district cash offices.
“The positions offered are teller and marketing,” Gus Bram revealed.
