Job Connect Jakpus opens 3,000 job vacancies
The Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency (Sudin Nakertransgi) is opening around 3,000 job vacancies through the Jakarta Pusat Job Connect 2026, as part of efforts to broaden employment opportunities in Jakarta.
“This event, organised by the Central Jakarta Manpower Sub-agency, involves 38 companies offering roughly 3,000 vacancies,” said Central Jakarta Administrative Mayor Arifin while attending the Jakarta Pusat Job Connect 2026 on Tuesday.
He said the jobs fair forms part of efforts by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Manpower and Transmigration Agency, to reduce the open unemployment rate.
According to him, Jakarta’s open unemployment rate has shown a downward trend each year.
For this reason, events bringing companies together with jobseekers need to continue to be held in order to open public access to employment.
“The trend is clearly falling year on year. Hopefully, activities like this will continue to be beneficial and provide equal opportunities for our brothers and sisters who have yet to find work,” said Arifin.
Arifin said the growing number of participants with disabilities at the jobs fair shows that employment opportunities for the group are increasingly open.
“If you look at the numbers, they are growing by the day. Each time it is held, the number of participants or those coming to register keeps increasing,” he said.
He noted that several people with disabilities who took part in previous Job Connect events have also secured employment.
This, he said, demonstrates that job opportunities for people with disabilities are increasingly accessible.
Arifin therefore urged people with disabilities not to feel inferior or lacking in confidence when seeking work, as the government has endeavoured to provide equal opportunities through the jobs fair.
In addition, he expressed hope that the Jakarta Pusat Job Connect 2026 can match companies’ demand for labour with people looking for work, whilst also expanding access to job opportunities in Jakarta.
“Through this Job Connect event, all of that is answered — providing equal space for them,” said Arifin.
