JNE Obtains Halal Certification for Logistics Services
JAKARTA — PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) has obtained halal certification for its logistics services from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The certification covers the application of halal standards in handling, storing and packaging goods, as well as delivering them to consumers.
The certificate, numbered ID314110080091010826, was issued by BPJPH after JNE underwent an inspection and audit by the Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI). It provides the basis for the company to implement a Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) in its logistics operations.
JNE President Director M. Feriadi Soeprapto said halal standards were needed to ensure that deliveries comply with applicable requirements. One area of focus is keeping halal and non-halal products separate during distribution.
“With this halal logistics certification, JNE ensures that all operational processes — from handling food shipments and strictly separating halal and non-halal products at every transit point to delivering them to their final destinations — meet stringent halal logistics standards,” Feriadi said in a statement on Tuesday (13 October 2026).
Feriadi said the certification also provides certainty for food businesses that use JNE’s delivery services. Proper goods-handling standards are needed to reduce the risk of cross-contamination during distribution.
JNE said implementation of the SJPH covers every operational stage, from collecting shipments until goods are received by consumers. This includes storage and separation procedures to ensure logistics processes meet halal requirements.
The certification ceremony for JNE’s logistics services took place at the company’s headquarters on Jalan Tomang Raya in West Jakarta. Those attending included BPJPH head Ahmad Haikal Hasan, LPPOM MUI representative Asya Fathya Nur Zakiah, PT DGI Levner Consulting director Dwi Pamungkas Bermani and JNE management.
The certification was obtained ahead of JNE’s 36th anniversary on 26 November 2026. The company plans to continue applying halal standards in its operations to serve delivery needs across a range of business sectors.
