JK's Team on Rismon's Claim That Rp5 Billion Statement Was AI-Generated: Let Investigators Test It
The team of Indonesia’s 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) has spoken out regarding Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar’s claim that he was a victim of AI following statements about Rp5 billion funding in the fake diploma case involving Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo.
JK’s lawyer, Abdul Haji Talaohu, assessed that the truth of the AI-generated video must first be proven by investigators from Bareskrim Polri.
Therefore, he said, JK will continue the reporting process to Bareskrim Polri. This is because, he claimed, Rismon’s video has caused a stir, leading to his client being accused by the public as the figure behind Jokowi’s diploma case.
“Even if it’s AI later, that’s why we need to report it first so it can be tested whether it’s AI or not, because the impact of his statement has triggered a series of other events,” he told reporters at Bareskrim Polri on Monday (6/4).
“We’ll test it first, right? That matter should be assessed by those with the capacity, experts, investigators,” he added.
In this case, Abdul said Rismon mentioned that there was a political elite figure supporting Jokowi’s fake diploma case. Rismon, he said, claimed to have witnessed the handover of Rp5 billion from JK to Roy Suryo and associates.
“That’s why we made this report as a serious step to respond and demand clarification and accountability from him,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the four reported YouTube accounts are Ruang Konsensus, Musik Ciamis, Mosato TV, and YouTuber Nusantara.
He gave an example, for the Ruang Konsensus YouTube account, it uploaded a podcast content claiming that JK has an instinct to stay in power irrationally.
Meanwhile, for the Mosato TV account, he said, there is content accusing JK of planning to commit treason against the Prabowo-Gibran government.
“There is a very fatal sentence according to us because there is a statement ‘Indication of hypocrisy, praises Prabowo but wants to commit treason’. This is a direct question,” he said.
Furthermore, Abdul instead assessed that those YouTube accounts are affiliated with Jokowi. One that he highlighted is the YouTuber Nusantara account which recently celebrated its birthday in Solo, Central Java.
“You can interpret it yourself. Because they also just celebrated the one-year anniversary of YouTuber Nusantara in Solo yesterday,” he concluded.
Rismon Sianipar previously denied mentioning Jusuf Kalla as the funder of the alleged fake diploma case against Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo.
Rismon’s lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, emphasised that his client never made such a statement. He claimed that the video clip circulating on social media was an Artificial Intelligence (AI) fabrication.
“That’s all AI processing, Rismon never mentioned Mr JK’s name,” he told reporters on Sunday (5/4).
