Bank Indonesia (BI) Deputy Governor Filianingsih Hendarta hopes that the Jakarta Kreatif Festival (JKF) 2026 will become a momentum to strengthen synergy among stakeholders in building the creative economy ecosystem. “JKF can also encourage MSMEs to upgrade, expand the use of digital payments, and increase community economic activity,” Filianingsih said at the inauguration of JKF 2026 in Jakarta on Saturday. She also appreciated the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for the support and synergy that has been established in increasing Jakarta’s economic contribution to the national economy. Filianingsih assessed that the implementation of JKF 2026 proves that MSME development and the acceleration of payment system digitalisation can go hand in hand to drive the real sector and increase DKI Jakarta’s economic productivity. Through JKF 2026, she said, Bank Indonesia is encouraging the birth of innovation, strengthening the MSME and creative economy ecosystem, and increasing public literacy regarding local products and the national payment system. “Realising Jakarta as a creative, innovative, inclusive, and sustainable global city, while making a real contribution to national economic growth,” said Filianingsih. Meanwhile, Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for DKI Jakarta, Iwan Setiawan, is targeting transactions during JKF 2026 to reach IDR 40 billion. “This figure is up compared to JKF 2025, which achieved transactions of IDR 21 billion,” Iwan revealed. This year, he continued, his party involved 67 agencies and institutions aimed at expanding market access, financing, and promotion for creative economy players and MSMEs in the DKI Jakarta area. The JKF 2026 event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on 4-5 July, will feature 377 tenants consisting of 290 MSME tenants in the culinary, fashion, and craft sectors, as well as 87 service, education, and community tenants that serve as a showcase for Jakarta’s creativity and innovation.
