JK to Report Four YouTube Accounts Over Treason and Hoax Allegations
Former Vice President of Indonesia, the 10th and 12th, Jusuf Kalla (JK), will report four YouTube accounts to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) regarding allegations of treason and the dissemination of hoaxes.
JK’s lawyer, Abdul Haji Talaohu, stated that the reporting will be carried out simultaneously with the planned report against Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar.
“Not only for Mr Rismon, but there are several others that we will also report,” he told reporters at Bareskrim Polri on Monday (6/4).
Abdul explained that previously, Rismon had mentioned political elites supporting the fake diploma case involving Jokowi. According to him, Rismon claimed to have witnessed the handover of Rp5 billion from JK to Roy Suryo and associates.
“That is why we are making this report as a serious step to respond and demand clarification and accountability from him,” he said.
Meanwhile, the four YouTube accounts to be reported are Ruang Konsensus, Musik Ciamis, Mosato TV, and YouTuber Nusantara.
He gave an example for the Ruang Konsensus YouTube account, which uploaded a podcast content mentioning that JK has an instinct to remain in power irrationally.
“There is a statement accusing Mr JK of being a loser, which, if pulled, leads to his movement being unconstitutional. This is hoax news, false news that also needs to be examined,” he explained.
Meanwhile, for the Mosato TV account, he said, there is content accusing JK of plotting treason against the Prabowo-Gibran government.
“There is a very fatal statement according to us because there is a remark ‘Indication of hypocrisy, praises Prabowo but wants to commit treason’. This is a direct question,” he said.
Furthermore, Abdul instead assessed that these YouTube accounts are affiliated with Jokowi. One that he highlighted is the YouTuber Nusantara account, which recently celebrated its birthday in Solo, Central Java.
“Well, let it be interpreted yourself. Because they also just celebrated the one-year anniversary of YouTuber Nusantara in Solo yesterday,” he said.
Previously, digital forensics expert Rismon Sianipar denied mentioning former Vice Presidents of Indonesia, the 10th and 12th, Jusuf Kalla, as the funder of the alleged fake diploma case of the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
Rismon’s lawyer, Jahmada Girsang, emphasised that his client never made such a statement. He claimed that the video clip circulating on social media is the result of Artificial Intelligence (AI) manipulation.
“It’s all AI processing, Rismon never mentioned Mr JK’s name,” he told reporters on Sunday (5/4).
