REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The legal representatives of the 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia, M Jusuf Kalla (JK), visited the National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (6/4/2026) to report Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar in a case of alleged defamation against their client. JK is responding to accusations from Rismon regarding funding Roy Suryo and associates to question the authenticity of the diploma of the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Based on observations, JK’s legal team arrived at the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) building of the National Police around 10:10 WIB. JK’s legal representative, Abdul Haji Talaohu, brought a bundle of documents to be submitted to the investigators at Bareskrim Polri. Upon arrival at the location, Abdul stated that JK is reporting the alleged defamation based on accusations from Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and several other names. He accused them of spreading false news through the YouTube platform. “Today, we will file a police report. Not only for Mr Rismon, but there are several others who we will also report,” he said at the Bareskrim Polri building in South Jakarta on Monday. Abdul mentioned that they are taking the report seriously because of Rismon’s accusation against JK, who is alleged to have handed over Rp 5 billion to Roy Suryo. He also asked Rismon to take responsibility for his accusations. “He made statements, one of which mentioned that behind the movement to question Mr Jokowi’s diploma, there is an elite official, and in that context, he mentioned that Mr JK handed over money to Roy and associates amounting to Rp 5 billion, and he claimed to have witnessed it,” said Abdul. That is the reason they are present at Bareskrim Polri. “That is why we are making this report today as a serious step to respond and demand his clarification and accountability,” said Abdul.
