JK Officially Reports Rismon Sianipar Over Allegations of Spreading Hoax Funding Roy Suryo and Associates

Vice President of Indonesia’s 10th and 12th administrations, Jusuf Kalla (JK), has reported Rismon Sianipar over accusations of funding Roy Suryo and associates in relation to the diploma of the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The report was submitted through JK’s lawyer, Abdul Haji Talaohu.

“Today is important; as per our plan, we have reported Rismon, met with the investigators, submitted everything. The administrative aspects of the report are just technical matters to be handled later,” said JK’s legal representative, Abdul Haji Talaohu, to reporters on Monday (6/4/2026).

Abdul stated that they also lodged complaints against several YouTube channels. He mentioned that additional data needs to be compiled before filing official reports against four such YouTube channels.

“Besides Rismon, there are several YouTube accounts and YouTubers that we will also complain about, as we need to complete some data, and we will submit the complaints as soon as possible. The articles we are relying on are Article 263 and Article 264 of the new Criminal Code, and Law No. 1 of 2023,” he explained.

He said they had consulted with Bareskrim Polri. Abdul also mentioned that they proposed several witnesses.

“The report we submitted earlier was after consultation and case dissection, accompanied by the Cyber Directorate and the General Criminal Directorate. From the case dissection, the incident and its elements are fulfilled. There is a victim in this case, Mr JK, a suspected perpetrator in Mr Rismon, the YouTube channels that uploaded the videos, and we have also submitted several witnesses to the General Criminal Directorate and the Cyber Directorate,” he stated.

Abdul mentioned that they brought three videos as evidence to the investigators. The video clips include statements related to JK.

“Yes, the evidence we attached includes those video clips,” he said.
