JK: Iran Surprises the World, Proves It Can Withstand US-Israel Pressure

Former Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) assessed that Iran’s ability to withstand military pressure from the United States and Israel demonstrates the critical importance of technological mastery for Islamic nations. He said Iran has surprised the world.

“Iran has surprised the world. No one expected they would possess the technological capability enabling the country to withstand pressure from the United States and Israel,” JK said during his keynote address at the “International Seminar and the 15th Annual General Meeting” at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta campus in Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Wednesday.

In a statement received in Jakarta, JK assessed that Iran’s primary strength is not merely a matter of weaponry, but rather technological capability developed consistently over many years.

“What wins is technology and spirit. Therefore, if Islamic nations wish to progress, they must master technology. Religion and science must proceed in balance,” he said.

JK added that most Islamic nations still face various internal and external conflicts, ranging from the Iran-Iraq war, conflicts in Yemen, Sudan, and Syria, to tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
