Bekasi, West Java — PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 26,449 vehicles leaving Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, ten days before the Eid al-Fitr holiday (1447 Hijriah).

“There has been an increase in the volume of vehicle traffic leaving Jakarta via the MBZ elevated toll road as the Eid holiday exodus approaches this year,” said JJC Operations and Maintenance General Manager Desti Anggraeni in Bekasi, West Java.

She stated that vehicle traffic volume during this period increased by 21.4 per cent compared with normal daily conditions, which typically see 21,787 vehicles.

The increase in vehicle traffic occurred throughout all time periods, with morning traffic rising by 18.31 per cent, daytime traffic by 8.6 per cent, and night-time traffic by 60.71 per cent, representing the highest increase compared with normal conditions.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles heading towards Jakarta totalled 23,060, an increase of 4.39 per cent from normal traffic levels of 22,090 vehicles.

Increases occurred in the morning by 16.97 per cent and at night by 15.43 per cent. Daytime traffic, however, decreased by 8.2 per cent compared with normal daily conditions.

Desti noted that the data indicates vehicle movement on the MBZ elevated toll road is beginning to increase as the Eid al-Fitr holiday period approaches this year.

Overall, traffic conditions on the MBZ elevated toll road remain smooth and well controlled with support from regular traffic monitoring and operational staff readiness in the field.

To support travel safety and efficiency, JJC continues to urge motorists using the MBZ elevated toll road to prioritise safety. Road users are advised to ensure drivers and vehicles are in optimal condition, maintain adequate fuel and electricity supplies, and anticipate potential weather changes, particularly rain that can affect visibility and road surface conditions.

Road users can also access current information and request toll road traffic services through the Jasa Marga Group 24-hour call centre at 133, via Twitter @PTJASAMARGA, and through the Travoy 4.5 application for iOS and Android users.
