JIS prepares access and mobility for The Weeknd concert

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is preparing various access and mobility arrangements for spectators ahead of the concert by Canadian singer The Weeknd, scheduled to take place at the North Jakarta stadium on 26-27 September 2026.

“These preparations are being made to support the smoothness, security, and comfort of spectators, from their journey to the stadium area to entering the venue,” said Shinta Syamsul Arief, Head of SBU Jakarta International Stadium at PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Shinta explained that access arrangements have been designed considering various modes of transport available to spectators, including the Commuter Line (KRL), TransJakarta, private vehicles, and shuttle buses prepared at several points.

She urged spectators to arrive early, pay attention to official information, and follow the directions of officers along their journey to the venue. According to her, JIS offers various alternative access routes to the stadium area that can be used according to the event’s requirements.

For the execution of The Weeknd concert, the regulation and use of spectator access will follow the scheme established by the organisers, taking into account security, comfort, and the smoothness of mobility during the event.

“For spectators using the KRL, passengers can disembark at JIS Station,” she said.

Shinta reminded that during the concert period, the pedestrian bridge (JPO) from JIS Station to JIS will be temporarily closed. As an alternative, spectators can continue their journey via provided shuttle buses or use online motorcycle taxi services to reach the JIS area.

Officers will be stationed at the station area and shuttle bus points to assist in directing spectators to ensure orderly and smooth travel.

Meanwhile, spectators using private vehicles are advised to park their vehicles in the Ancol area and can use the prepared shuttle buses to reach the JPO Bersama BTN, then continue through the bridge towards the JIS area.
