JIS KRL Station Operating Hours Until 9:30 PM, Extended for Events
The KRL Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) station in North Jakarta officially began operations today. Transport Minister Dudy Purwaghandi stated that the station’s operating hours could be extended when events attracting large crowds are held.
"For train scheduling, we will adjust it according to events organised by the regional government, Ancol, or JIS. As you know, during certain events we extend the service hours of trains, such as the MRT," Dudy said after the inauguration ceremony at JIS Station, North Jakarta, on Monday (22/6/2026).
"If there is a specific event, like the recent Java Jazz, we also extended the operational hours of the train and station services," he added.
The KRL JIS schedule currently operates until 9:30 PM WIB. Dudy said operating hours will be extended in line with ongoing events. "In accordance with this, we operate until 9:30 PM WIB, but if there is a special event in this area, operations will be extended," he stated.
Dudy explained that the KRL JIS station on the Tanjung Priok–Jakarta Kota route currently has only one platform. However, he said further development for the KRL JIS service will take place.
"This is indeed still one platform, and we have conveyed to the DKI Jakarta Government that we will develop it further. And I need to inform you that as of today, this station is active and can already serve passengers," he said.
Dudy noted that the travel time from JIS KRL Station to Jakarta Kota Station is only 15 minutes. The Ministry of Transportation is targeting the JIS KRL Station to become a permanent station next year.
"So the distance from end to end is approximately 15 minutes; if I am not mistaken, from here to Kota is 10 minutes. So it is already active and we will continue to develop it into a permanent station. We hope the target will be completed within one year," Dudy explained.
JIS Station is located between Tanjung Priok Station and Ancol Station. The station provides direct access for residents heading to JIS. Currently, JIS Station consists of one platform and serves the KRL Tanjung Priok–Jakarta Kota route.
