JIS KRL Station Now Operational: Route Map and Integrated Access
The KRL Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) station officially began operations today. The presence of this new station adds public transport access to the JIS area in North Jakarta, which frequently hosts large-scale events.
For those heading to JIS Station, information regarding the station’s location, the Commuter Line routes that serve it, and integration access with other public transport modes is essential. Here is the route map and access to JIS KRL Station.
JIS Station Officially Operational
JIS KRL Station in North Jakarta was inaugurated on Monday (22/6/2026). The station features two platforms, namely Platform 1 heading towards Tanah Abang and Platform 2 heading towards Rangkasbitung.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the station’s inauguration is one of the gifts for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. Pramono said the presence of JIS Station is expected to make it easier for the public to reach Jakarta International Stadium.
“Sooner or later, this place will certainly become one of the areas or places that many people visit,” Pramono said at JIS Station, North Jakarta, Monday (22/6/2026).
Meanwhile, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwaghandi also mentioned that the station’s operation is part of the addition of public transport services for Jakarta residents.
“Opening direct access for the public to the Jakarta International Stadium area. Through connections at Kampung Bandan and Jakarta Kota, this station is also connected to the wider KRL network and makes it part of the integrated Jabodetabek public transport ecosystem,” he explained.
JIS Station Location and KRL Route
JIS Station is located between Tanjung Priok Station and Ancol Station in North Jakarta. This KRL station serves the Commuter Line route between Jakarta Kota and Tanjung Priok.
For passengers, the route to JIS Station can be taken via the following lines:
Jakarta Kota - Kampung Bandan - Ancol - JIS - Tanjung Priok
Tanjung Priok - JIS - Ancol - Kampung Bandan - Jakarta Kota
Passengers from the Bogor, Bekasi, Cikarang, Serpong, or Rangkasbitung lines can transit first to the line connected to Jakarta Kota or Kampung Bandan, then continue their journey to JIS Station.
Integrated Access to JIS Station
Besides KRL, the public can also reach the JIS area using other transport modes. The Jakarta Transportation Agency notes that access to JIS is connected with Transjakarta and Mikrotrans services.
For Transjakarta services, the available routes include:
12P Pegangsaan Dua LRT Station - JIS
14B Tanjung Priok - Senen via JIS
Meanwhile, the Mikrotrans services connected to the JIS area are:
JAK 90 Tanjung Priok - Rusun Kemayoran
JAK 120 Jakarta International Stadium - Muara Angke Terminal
This integration is expected to facilitate public mobility from various points to the stadium, especially during matches, concerts, or other large-scale events.
With the operation of JIS Station, the public now has an additional public transport option to reach Jakarta International Stadium. The KRL access integrated with Transjakarta and Mikrotrans is expected to make travel to JIS more practical and integrated.
