JIS KRL Station Begins Operations Today
The KRL Jakarta International Stadium station began operations today. KRL trains on the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok route will now stop at JIS station.
“Today marks the activation of limited operations for the JIS station,” said PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia Vice President Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda to CNBC Indonesia on Monday (22/6/2026).
This afternoon, the JIS Station will be officially inaugurated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung. “There will be an inauguration ceremony conducted by the Governor of DKI Jakarta at 13.00 WIB,” she stated.
JIS KRL Station is a new commuter line station built through cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). The presence of this station is expected to facilitate public access to the Jakarta International Stadium in North Jakarta.
JIS Station is located on the Pink Line, between Ancol Station and Tanjung Priok Station. KRL infrastructure such as entry and exit gates have been installed, along with a considerably long platform.
