JIS Event Visitors Can Now Park at Ancol
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Provincial Government has requested the management of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and Taman Impian Jaya Ancol to cooperate on parking management during events at JIS. This cooperation is being prepared to anticipate parking needs when JIS hosts various events, ranging from football matches to concerts. “So I have asked the management of JIS, or Jakpro, and Ancol to cooperate whenever there are activities at JIS, whether it is a football match or a concert and so on,” Pramono said in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (9/8). Pramono mentioned that it has now been agreed that visitors to events at JIS can use the Ancol parking area. The tariff will be adjusted to match the rates set at JIS, meaning drivers who wish to park when there is an event at JIS will not be charged the Ancol entrance fee. “Now it has been agreed that for events at JIS, the parking fee will be the same as the one applied at JIS. So the entrance fee and so on are not charged,” he stated. This cooperation between the JIS and Ancol management is expected to help overcome parking space limitations while supporting the smooth running of various events at JIS. Previously, Pramono inaugurated a bridge connecting Ancol and JIS, marking the moment as a gift for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary.
