Jinpai Lingao Port Boosts Global Prefab Construction Exports
Haikou, China - The Jinpai Lingao Port Development Zone in Hainan Province has emerged as a crucial hub for exporting green and smart prefabricated buildings, supporting Hainan’s high-level Free Trade Port (FTP) openness.
As a key industrial zone within the FTP, Jinpai Lingao focuses on prefabricated construction. Its production capacity accounts for over half of Hainan’s total, leading the province in steel structure and precast concrete output. Annual electricity consumption has risen over 30%, reflecting strong industrial growth.
Prefabricated buildings, which involve factory production and on-site assembly, offer shorter construction times, higher quality, and greater environmental friendliness. This model is pivotal for Hainan’s construction industry green transformation and clean energy island development.
Longqing Southeast, one of the zone’s companies, operates six smart production lines. With stable power supply, it has reduced main steel component production time from one day to just three to four hours. Annual capacity is set to reach 60,000 tonnes by 2025, projected to exceed 100,000 tonnes after the second-phase factory is completed.
“Over the past six months since Hainan FTP implemented special customs operations, we have secured orders from Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Today, customers from Peru and Chile have also arrived to discuss cooperation,” said Zhang Baojun of Longqing Southeast.
From initially focusing on Hainan’s domestic market, the company’s business scope has expanded to multiple countries and regions.
“Lingao-made” products are increasingly penetrating global markets.
During the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), Jinpai Lingao Port is expected to be fully operational and complement Yangpu Port’s functions. This synergy will further reduce logistics costs and enhance customs efficiency, aiding Hainan’s prefabricated building products in accessing wider international markets.
