JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (Perseroda) or PT JIEP, as a Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of DKI Jakarta Province and a member of the Danareksa SOE Holding, along with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, promoted investment opportunities to Chinese business players.

This agenda was held as part of the JIEP Business Matching Forum organised in Shenzhen, China.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that they invited business players in Shenzhen to be part of Jakarta’s transformation towards a competitive and sustainable global city.

“Investment in JIEP is not just about business profits, but also about contributing to the development of a modern, inclusive, and environmentally friendly urban future,” said Pramono in a written statement on Friday (24/4/2026).

The event was attended by more than 50 Chinese entrepreneurs from various strategic sectors, including technology, modern industrial zone management, manufacturing, construction, and related sectors.

The participants’ enthusiasm was evident from their active involvement in the series of agendas, including panel discussion sessions that served as an interactive forum between PT JIEP, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and potential investors.

In the panel discussion session, several Chinese entrepreneurs expressed interest in investing in Jakarta, particularly in the Pulogadung Industrial Zone.

They also plan to further explore concrete cooperation opportunities that can be developed in the near future.

PT JIEP President Director Satrio Witjaksono stated that this forum is a strategic momentum in expanding global partnership networks and accelerating the realisation of investments in the area.

“JIEP not only offers an industrial zone, but an integrated ecosystem that is transforming into a modern technology-based industrial zone, sustainable, and connected to the public transportation system. We invite investors to jointly build the future of Jakarta’s industry and urban areas,” said Satrio.

Furthermore, PT JIEP is currently developing a 25-year Remasterplan that covers the transformation of an area of approximately 433 hectares into an Integrated Hi-Tech Industrial and Innovation District.

The investment opportunities offered include the development of Transit Oriented Development (TOD), the construction of Modern Smart Warehouses, as well as the development of mixed-use areas integrated with digital infrastructure and public transportation.

As Indonesia’s first industrial zone established since 1973, Satrio said that PT JIEP has a strategic position in the heart of Jakarta City with accessibility support directly connected to ports, airports, and major transportation networks.

With the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Danareksa SOE Holding, JIEP provides investment certainty through professional governance, licensing ease, and integrated regulatory support.

“Through this business matching forum, it is hoped that strategic partnerships will be established between PT JIEP and Chinese investors, which not only result in concrete business cooperation but also drive economic growth, technology transfer, and the development of modern sustainable industrial zones in Jakarta,” he concluded.
