JICA assists Kendari poll officials
KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Yoshijima Shoichi, an official from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), visited on Tuesday the Southeast Sulawesi General Elections Commission (KPUD) in Kendari, the capital of Southeast Sulawesi.
Yoshijima was received by the KPUD chairman, Kaimuddin Haris, and other KPUD members.
After the meeting, Kaimuddin said the cooperation agency would help share Japan's experience with general elections in six provinces in Indonesia, including Southeast Sulawesi.
The other provinces are South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo and North Maluku.
Yoshijima will be in Indonesia until April 24.
Kaimuddin said that Yoshijima would be assisted in his work by an associate from Japan, Saikawa Shushei. -- JP
