Jewish Terrorist Attacks in the West Bank Continue

Illegal Israeli settlers launched separate attacks against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday night, abducting two young men in the town of Beit Ula, west of Hebron, and setting fire to a Palestinian-owned vehicle in the Abu Nujaym area, east of Bethlehem. In the Hebron area, settlers intercepted a vehicle belonging to a young man named Safar Samer Al-Atrash in western Beit Ula, vandalised the car, and then abducted him along with another young man, according to local sources. In a separate incident in the Bethlehem area, a security source told WAFA that settlers attacked the home of a Palestinian named Samer Oweis in the Abu Nujaym area and set his vehicle ablaze, completely gutting it. These attacks are part of a continuing escalation of violence by settlers across the occupied West Bank, targeting Palestinian civilians, homes, vehicles, and property. Meanwhile, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday boasted about the demolition of Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank. Smotrich made the statement in a post on the social media platform X, accompanied by images showing the destruction of Palestinian homes. ‘We continue to enforce the law and prevent illegal construction and Arab takeover of territory in the West Bank. For years, they acted there as if it belonged to them. That is over. The West Bank is an inseparable part of the State of Israel and is vital for its security,’ Smotrich said. The entire West Bank is recognised under international law as Palestinian territory, although much of it has been occupied by Zionist forces. Smotrich had previously announced his government’s intention to annex 82 percent of the West Bank and stressed the need to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) released the latest figures illustrating the scale of Jewish settler terrorism in the occupied West Bank, recording more than a thousand crimes that could potentially trigger a wider conflict. OCHA announced it has documented over 1,330 incidents involving Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026, resulting in Palestinian casualties and damage to Palestinian property.
