Jetour T2 i-DM Introduces PHEV Technology for Urban and Long-Distance Mobility at GIIAS Semarang
PT Jetour Sales Indonesia introduced the Jetour T2 i-DM at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Semarang 2026. The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV is being marketed at an on-the-road (OTR) price of Rp705 million in Semarang.
The Jetour T2 i-DM relies on the Intelligent Dual Mode (i-DM) system, which combines a 1.5 TGDI petrol engine, a 3-Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT), and two electric motors. This system produces a combined output of up to 3CO PS with a maximum torque of 610 Nm.
For its electric power source, the vehicle utilises an 18.4 kWh CATL LFP battery. Jetour claims the T2 i-DM is capable of travelling up to 90 kilometres on electric power alone, while the combined range of the petrol engine and electric motors is said to exceed 1,200 kilometres.
The battery supports rapid charging via DC Fast Charging, with a charge from 30 to 80 per cent taking approximately 27 minutes. Additionally, options for AC Charging and a Portable AC Charger are available.
In terms of structural capability, the Jetour T2 i-DM employs a Hardtop Cage Body Monocoque structure, consisting of approximately 80 per cent high-strength steel. This structure is claimed to have a static load capacity of up to 300 kilograms and a torsion rigidity of 32,000 Nm/degree.
Jetour has also equipped the T2 i-DM with several features to support off-road activities. These include Tie-Down Points for carrying equipment and a 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, which allows the vehicle to serve as a portable power source.
For safety and driver assistance, the T2 i-DM is equipped with 15 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 features. The vehicle also features six airbags and a 540-degree Surround Vision system to assist drivers in monitoring the area around the vehicle during manoeuvres.
Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia, stated that the Intelligent Dual Mode technology in the T2 i-DM is intended to combine electric power for daily mobility with the flexibility of a petrol engine for long-distance journeys.
“Through Intelligent Dual Mode, the Jetour T2 i-DM is designed to deliver both: electric efficiency for daily mobility and the flexibility and capability for long-distance travel,” Ranggy said in an official statement on Thursday.
The Jetour T2 i-DM is available in five colour options: Khaki White, Carbon Crystal Black, Aviation Silver, Highway Gray, and Electroplated Green. For the Highway Gray and Electroplated Green variants, customers will incur an additional cost of Rp10 million.
As part of its ownership programme, Jetour offers a six-year vehicle and engine warranty with no mileage limit. The battery and drivetrain are covered by an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty, while free periodic maintenance is provided for three years or up to 30,000 kilometres, subject to the maintenance schedule.
At GIIAS Semarang 2026, Jetour is also providing T2 i-DM units for test drive sessions. The automotive exhibition is being held at the Muladi Dome, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Semarang, until 4 October 2026.
