Jepara Regency to Host Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks 2026
Jepara Regency Government, in Central Java, is ready to host Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks (JIFBW) 2026 on 8–11 March 2026 as an effort to enhance the selling power of Jepara furniture products in national and international markets.
“Preparations for the international exhibition have progressed quite well. This year JIFBW will be held with a hybrid exhibition concept, combining offline and online exhibitions,” said Jepara Regent Witiarso Utomo, in Jepara, on Friday.
According to him, the implementation of JIFBW in Jepara differs from furniture exhibitions in general. If normally an exhibition provides only one meeting location between buyers and sellers, in JIFBW buyers will be invited to directly visit workshops or furniture factories.
In addition, he said, this activity focuses more on buyer visits to workshops or factories. Buyers will also be taken directly to factories that are possible only in Jepara and that allow direct visits to their factories.
Witiarso also emphasised the importance of improving design quality so that Jepara furniture products can keep up with evolving times and global market needs.
The Jepara Regency Government also continues to support furniture industry players, including by facilitating participation in various exhibitions. At this year’s Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX), around 20 Jepara-based business actors were facilitated to participate in the exhibition.
After Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX), JIFBW will be a continuation event to promote not only furniture products but also the Jepara furniture industry ecosystem as a whole.
