Based on data for the period from 11 to 19 March 2026, the total number of arrivals recorded was 101,371 people, while the number of departures for the same period reached 83,957 people.

He stated that the high arrival figures reflect the public’s enthusiasm for travelling home using the safe, comfortable, and punctual mode of train transport.

“The increase in passenger arrivals is part of the community’s homecoming tradition ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” he said.

PT KAI Daop 9 Jember continues to commit to providing the best service to ensure that customers’ journeys run smoothly and enjoyably.

Among all stations in the Daop 9 area, Jember Station recorded the highest volume of passenger arrivals, namely 25,571 passengers.

This affirms the strategic role of Jember Station as one of the main transport nodes in the region.

Meanwhile, several stations in the Banyuwangi area have also become favourite destinations for homecomers.

Kalisetail Station recorded the highest arrivals in that area with 12,220 passengers, followed by Banyuwangi Kota with 11,343 passengers, Rogojampi Station with 9,118 passengers, and Ketapang Station with 7,516 passengers.

“The high public interest in heading to the Banyuwangi region shows the area’s appeal as a homecoming destination as well as a tourist spot,” he said.

Cahyo said that PT KAI Daop 9 Jember has prepared various anticipatory measures to ensure the smooth flow of homecomers, from readiness of facilities and infrastructure, improved station services, to strengthened security in operational areas.

“We urge all passengers to pay attention to several things for mutual comfort, including arriving early at the station, at least 30 minutes before the departure schedule,” he said.

Additionally, ensuring that tickets and identities match and not bringing excessive luggage, keeping one’s own belongings while in the station area or on the train.

“Passengers are urged to comply with rules and instructions from officers for safety and smooth travel,” he stated.

Cahyo also invited all passengers to jointly maintain order and comfort during the journey. With good cooperation, it is hoped that this year’s homecoming moment can proceed safely and full of joy.
