Jember Fashion Carnaval 2026 Officially Launches 'HEAL' Theme
Jember, East Java (ANTARA) - Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) 2026 has officially launched its theme, HEAL (Humanity, Earth, and Life), at a press conference held at a shopping centre in Jakarta on Thursday.
The press conference marked the start of the JFC 2026 series of events, introducing the organising concept and strategic collaborations leading up to the spectacular fashion carnival, which will stretch 3.6 kilometres through Jember Regency, East Java, on 24–26 July 2026.
“The HEAL theme is not only the identity of this year’s JFC, but also reflects the long journey of JFC in realising the vision of its founder, Dynand Fariz,” said JFC President Budi Setiawan in a written statement received in Jember Regency.
The HEAL theme was chosen to represent humanitarian values, care for the earth, and the sustainability of life as the spirit underpinning JFC 2026.
Through this theme, JFC seeks to present a collaborative space that not only showcases creative works but also conveys social and cultural messages to the public.
“JFC was built as a space that provides opportunities for anyone to create, grow, and deliver benefits both to themselves and to society in an inclusive manner,” he said.
He explained that JFC is not merely a fashion event or annual carnival, but rather a creative movement that brings together talents from a wide range of professions and backgrounds.
Through JFC, designers, artists, models, and the younger generation are given space to showcase their finest works, not only at the national level but also to international audiences.
Budi further stated that the sustainability of JFC cannot be achieved by one party alone. Synergy with ministries, government, the business community, creative communities, and various partners forms an essential part of maintaining the collaborative spirit while carrying forward JFC’s grand vision as a birthplace of creativity across generations.
Meanwhile, Irini Dewi Wanti, Director of Film, Music, and Arts at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed appreciation for JFC’s consistency in championing cultural values through an innovative approach.
“JFC not only presents a fashion parade, but has also become a space that adapts cultural elements into a creative festival capable of capturing the interest of the younger generation,” she said.
She said the Ministry of Culture supports the staging of JFC as one of the media for promoting Indonesian culture internationally.
“With its global reach and involvement of numerous countries, JFC is considered to play a strategic role in introducing the richness of Indonesian culture while strengthening the nation’s image through art, culture, and the creative economy,” she said.
The presence of JFC is expected not only to serve as a space for appreciating creative works, but also to strengthen the promotion of tourism, culture, and the creative economy of Jember Regency at both national and international levels.
