Jember Fashion Carnaval 2026 Officially Launches 'HEAL' Theme

Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) 2026 has officially launched the theme HEAL (Humanity, Earth, and Life) through a JFC Press Conference held at a shopping centre in Jakarta on Thursday. The press conference marked the beginning of the JFC 2026 series and introduced the concept of implementation and strategic collaboration leading up to the spectacular 3.6-kilometre fashion carnival, which will be held in Jember Regency, East Java, on 24-26 July 2026. JFC President Budi Setiawan stated that the HEAL theme not only serves as the identity for this year’s event but also reflects JFC’s long journey in realising the vision of its founder, Dynand Fariz. The HEAL theme is presented as a representation of humanitarian values, care for the earth, and the sustainability of life, which form the spirit of JFC 2026. Budi explained that JFC is not merely a fashion event or an annual carnival, but a creative movement that brings together various talents from different professions and backgrounds. Through JFC, designers, artists, models, and young people are given a platform to showcase their best work, not only nationally but also to an international audience. He also conveyed that the sustainability of JFC cannot be achieved by a single party alone. Synergy with ministries, the government, businesses, creative communities, and various partners is essential in maintaining the spirit of collaboration and continuing the grand vision of JFC as a space for cross-generational creativity. Director of Film, Music, and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Irini Dewi Wanti, expressed appreciation for JFC’s consistency in promoting cultural values through an innovative approach. She noted that JFC is not just a fashion parade but a platform that adapts cultural elements into a creative festival capable of attracting the interest of the younger generation. She added that the Ministry of Culture supports JFC as a medium for promoting Indonesian culture internationally. With its global reach and involvement of various countries, JFC is considered to have a strategic role in introducing Indonesia’s cultural wealth while strengthening the nation’s image through arts, culture, and the creative economy.
