Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Acting CEO of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Jeffrey Hendrik has spoken out regarding his nomination for the CEO position for the new leadership period of 2026-2030. When asked to confirm his candidacy, Jeffrey refrained from extensive comment. Nevertheless, he admitted to having prepared himself for the contest. “Of course, we will continue the existing programmes; our goal is to make our exchange a world-class one,” said Jeffrey when met at the Supreme Court building (MA) on Wednesday (25/3/2026). Regarding projections for initial public offerings (IPOs) if he is elected, he stressed prioritising quality over quantity for potential issuers. “I think we all agree now that we will prioritise quality over quantity,” he added. Jeffrey is proposed as a candidate for CEO, whose name will be discussed at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of BEI.
