Jakarta - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has officially granted approval for Jeffrey Hendrik to become the President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2026-2030 period. His name will subsequently be ratified at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST).

This was confirmed by Hasan Fawzi, Chief Executive of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision at the OJK.

“Correct, to be announced by the IDX, in accordance with the OJK letter. His appointment will be scheduled and carried out by the shareholders at the IDX RUPST on 29 June 2026,” Hasan told CNBC Indonesia on Thursday (18/6/2026).

In the excerpt of the letter, Jeffrey Hendrik, along with five other names, passed the OJK’s fit and proper test. Jeffrey himself currently serves as the Acting President Director of the IDX, following the vacancy left by Iman Rachman’s resignation as the Exchange’s President Director.

According to the official IDX website, before becoming Acting President Director of the Exchange, Jeffrey was appointed as IDX Development Director through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) on 29 June 2022.

Jeffrey began his career at PT Zone Pratama from 1994 to 1996, then continued his career in corporate finance at PT Transpacific Securindo from 1996 to 1999. After that, he served as President Director of PT Phintraco Sekuritas from 1999 to 2022 before joining the IDX board of directors.

In addition to his career in the capital market industry, Jeffrey is also active in various organisations and committees. He was a member of the IDX Securities Trading and Transaction Settlement Committee from 2019 to 2020, a board member of the Indonesian Securities Companies Association (APEI) for the Securities Trading Division from 2020 to 2022, and has been a member of the OJK Sustainable Finance Task Force since 2021.

In terms of education, Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from Trisakti University in 1995.
